Testimonial #1 ”The Executive”
Jerry Nielsen is a no nonsense interventionist that once on the job he
gets things done. In these times where you find people willing to do
interventions and professionals who do interventions it’s refreshing
to know that Jerry is in the latter group. He has not only
facilitated interventions for me over the years he has also
transported people to treatment for not only myself but for the Dr
Phil Show as well. I call on Jerry often and hope to for many years

Testimonial #2 ”The Heroin Addict”
Jerry and Nanci saved our son’s life along with the lives of several of our family members. We contacted Jerry several years ago because we were having an EXTREEM family crisis. Our son was a 26-year-old heroin addict and was near death. He had been in and out of 12 rehabs and was a chronic relapser. We were at wits end and were told by a friend we should give Jerry and Nanci Nielsen a call. We are so grateful we gave it “one more try”. Jerry and his wife (along with two wonderful therapy dogs) came over after doing a phone assessment and immediately “took charge”. Our friends told us to follow Jerry’s directions and trust in his wisdom. Whew, am I glad we did. The Intervention went just as Jerry said it would and our son left with him for a long residential stay at the rehab, which Jerry suggested. Our son Tyler has been clean and sober for over three years. He has a job, a fiancé and a future. Our family listened to and followed Nanci’s suggestion to engage ourselves in our own recovery. We all started going to Al-Anon. Of the five of us that started four of us are still attending. Jerry, Nanci, AA and Al-Anon have saved our lives and we can’t thank them enough.

TESTIMONIAL #3 ”The Alcoholic Soccer Mom”
My name is Abbie F. I’m a recovering alcoholic. My sobriety date is May 5, 2009. Before I got sober, I battled with alcohol for many years. My life was spiraling out of control. I had no hope, no dreams, and no future. I was severely depressed and on the verge of loosing everything. I met Jerry and Nanci Nielsen back in late 2008. Jerry and Nanci volunteered there time by bringing their therapy dogs to Laguna Beach Hospital where I was first introduced to a drug and alcohol detox facility. We immediately connected and stayed in touch. Unfortunately, I did not remain sober. I went into another facility a few months later for a short period of time and again battled with my sobriety. On May 5, I was passed out on my couch as I had been drinking Bacardi in the early morning hours. My youngest daughter was being dropped off from gymnastics by a neighbor. I would not wake up, do to being in what I would call a black out. My neighbor contacted my husband at work and notified him of my condition. My husband then contacted Jerry Nielsen to intervene and informed him of the situation. I woke up sometime later to Jerry standing over me waiting for me to come to. He told me after talking to my family, that if I did not go into a place he set up, that I was going to loose my husband, children, home, and most importantly my life. I initially resisted not wanting to let go of my disease, but his truth and knowledge pushed me into complying. Jerry took me to a women’s recovery home. It was the first day of my new life. Jerry and his wife Nanci co-sponsor me. They have taught me how to live a life without alcohol. I have been fortunate to do a few interventions with Jerry and give other alcoholics and addicts an example of sobriety. Jerry and Nanci have helped guide me in so many facets of my life. I learned that I didn’t have a problem with addiction; I had a problem with living on life’s terms. The alcohol was only a symptom of my problem, my problem was coping with life. Two and a half years later, not a day goes by where I’m not grateful for what Jerry and Nanci have done and continue to do for me. Not only are they my sponsors but also have become my family. We are very close. I look up to them as a pivotal influence in my sobriety. Their commitment and passion to help others recover from this insidious disease cannot have a price tag. Jerry has given me something no one else ever did. My life! Thank you Jerry and Nanci for who you are and all you do for me and others. You are my guardian angels here on earth. I love you both always. OXOXOXOXOX and Respect, Abbie F.
Testimonial #4 “A Daughter and a Nephew”
Stop right there! The fact that you are looking at Jerry Nielsen’s website speaks volumes about your life. Jerry invited me to write a testimonial for his new site. I am honored to do so. Jerry saved my daughter’s life and my nephew’s life all within a two-week period. I won’t bore you with details, however, I will say, one thing, if you are looking to save someone’s life, stop right now and call Jerry Nielsen. No matter what the problem is and no matter how resistant the individual is to help, Jerry can and will solve the problem. He has a comprehensive database of treatment centers. I didn’t realize how important it was to match the individual with the treatment center. Jerry is extremely honest and if he says something you can take it to the bank. Jerry will ultimately save your loved ones life and also save you thousands of dollars while doing so. There is really only one Interventionist worth calling and he is Jerry Nielsen. Thanks Jerry, you are awesome. Jeff Johnston, Salt Lake City, UT.
Testimonial #5 “The Eating Disorder Daughter”
My daughter had (has) an eating disorder. A friend of our family suggested I contact a couple named Jerry and Nanci Nielsen. Jerry went into immediate action along with his wife Nanci. They preformed an Intervention on my daughter and also on my wife and myself (we learned we had an addiction too and it turned out to be our daughter). Jerry gave us two choices, get help or prepare for a funeral. He did not mince words he is a no-nonsense man. My daughter was 78 pounds and 5’5” tall a walking skeleton. I am writing this testimonial six years after the Intervention. Jennie is now a healthy 122 pounds and a wife and a mother. Call Jerry and Nanci no matter what your situation is. If you or someone you know is in a crisis situation, CALL JERRY, that is all I can say, call Jerry!

Testimonial #6 “The Homeless Addict and Alcoholic”
Hi, my name is Johnny and I am an Alcoholic and a Drug Addict. Jerry found me on the streets of central Orange County, California in 1991. I have an MBA, but my disease had taken me down to a homeless state of survival. I had been living on the streets of Las Vegas, NV, Los Angeles and Orange County, California for over five years. I had been rotating in and out of various homeless shelters during that five-year period. Jerry had noticed me standing on a street corner begging for money. (The sign I was using said I needed work and that I was willing to work for food, which was nothing but a ploy, I wanted your money, not a job). One evening Jerry accidentally ran across me behind a supermarket, I was dumpster diving, he was looking for cardboard boxes for a move he was planning. Jerry said, “hey man, been seeing you out on the corner, do you really need a job, because if you do, I have a couple of days work for you”. My reply was, “no, get out of my face, go away.” Jerry, stepped back and said, “how bout we go get some coffee and something to eat.” I don’t know why I accepted his bold invitation, but I did. Coffee, dinner, and conversation, Jerry told me I didn’t have to live like this anymore. He said he knew who and what I was and that it didn’t mean I was lessor than he or anyone else. What he told me that evening was all about his spiral down into his depths of despair, which ended for him in 1983. For some unknown reason, I felt safe listening to Jerry and he listened to me. The next morning, Jerry picked me up and we went to a place called Charlie Street in Costa Mesa. I spent ten days there and transitioned from there to a sober living home in the same area. I went to an AA meeting the first day I was at Charlie Street and Jerry was there. He was at every meeting I was at for the next year and I went to a meeting every day. I have been clean and sober for over 20 years, thanks to Jerry and AA. Had it not been for Jerry and his perseverance, I don’t think I would be alive today. I have a very nice job today, a wife, two young children and a home, what more could I ask for. Thanks again Jerry, Johnny O. Laguna Niguel, CA
Testimonial #7 “She Had 13 Years Then Relapsed”
After 13 years of sobriety, I relapsed on opiates. I had surgery and the doctor prescribed pain killers. I had stopped going to meetings and keeping up with my program. Unfortunately, the disease didn’t go away. It only grew stronger when I stopped working for my sobriety. One day, I took an extra pill…that was it. That began my spiral down and I couldn’t control the outcome. At the end, I was using up to 20 pills a day just to survive and avoid the horrible self-detox symptoms. I finally landed in detox, through an intervention initiated by my family. I was relieved. The drugs had stopped killing my inner pain and I was so addicted, I couldn’t stop. Jerry was the one who convinced me to go and commit to being open to the care I would receive. I had no idea what I was in for the next few days. Jerry supported me the whole way. He put on this lecture that really explained the disease in a way I could understand and accept. Jerry also gave ideas and directions we could follow to stay on track and avoid triggers. This might have been the most important thing I learned in rehab. If it weren’t for Jerry, I might not be here to tell this story.
